You ready for free hot dogs and ice cream courtesy of hizzoner?
We’re hoping for a great big bike turnout at the Mayor’s Block Party this Thursday July 12. Our big bike ride led by many of the city’s most bikey bikers will leave:
- City Hall at 5:30pm,
- Jamaica Plain’s Green Street Station @ 6pm Thursday July 12
- Roslindale’s Adam’s Park in the center of Roslindale Village at @ 6:15pm
And arrive at the Mayor’s Block Party in Readville at around 6:30 or 7pm.
I would like to recommend that people dress like regular people (a.k.a. not in their bike gear) to illustrate that anyone can bike. If you’d like to rep the idea of bikes as you mingle with the city’s political elite, pull on your favorite bike-related T-shirt or wear a pin.
And if you’d like to ride there on your own recognizance the Block Party is at the Mayor’s house in Readville at 102 Chesterfield St.
