MassBike Needs Your Help

From MassBike

————-
MassBike is excited to announce that it has been chosen as the August 2012 beneficiary of theCLIF Bar 2 Mile Challenge and we need your help logging your bike trips to raise funds for better bicycling in Massachusetts.

Each month, CLIF Bar picks a different bicycling non-profit as the beneficiary of its nationwide challenge to get people out of their cars for trips under 2 miles.  For every trip logged on 2milechallenge.com during the month of August, CLIF Bar will donate $1 to MassBike, up to $10,000!  This is not just for bike commuters: any bike ride (no matter how long or short) counts as a trip!

Last month the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) was the beneficiary. This regional advocacy group blew the 2 Mile Challenge out of the water, reaching the maximum number of trips in just the first half of July. As a statewide organization with thousands of MassBike members and many more dedicated cyclists throughout the Bay State, we are confident that we can also hit the 10,000 trip mark before the end of the month. But we need your help to make this possible!

And don’t forget that this contest is nationwide, so cyclists across the country can log their trips in August to benefit MassBike. So call your sister in Chicago, your brother in law in Nashville, your nephew in Ann Arbor and ask them to register!

Create an account at  2milechallenge.com by clicking “Join the Ride”. Then enter your trips each day in August. Every trip logged will help MassBike with our advocacy and education efforts throughout the Bay State.

Thank you for all your support and happy riding!
